OVERVIEW

The Tweco® 15 Series Heavy Duty Fluxcored Contact Tip is designed to accommodate 3/32" wire and is compatible with 200 - 500 A Tweco® No.5 MIG guns. It is also suitable for use with specific MIG gun series. This contact tip offers exceptional electrical properties, making it an ideal choice for heavy duty welding applications up to 500 A. With its part number and wire diameter markings, it is easy to identify.

The contact tip has a length of 1.59" and a thread size of 5/16"-18 UNC- 2A. Its nominal inside diameter measures 0.106" with an outside diameter of 0.345". Made from extruded or gun-drilled 122 DHP copper alloy, it is machined from a copper alloy tubing to ensure a consistent and smooth inside diameter surface with a tolerance of +/-0.003".

Featuring a threaded style, this contact tip guarantees proper contact with a gas diffuser when installed to the MIG gun. It is available in slip-on or thread-on nozzle styles, with various diameter bore sizes to choose from. The contact tip securely locks in place with a twist, offering improved electrical conductivity and increased surface contact.

Designed with a thick-walled design, the contact tip acts as a heat sink, effectively dissipating heat away from the arc source. When the tip wear reaches a certain point, it can be twisted a quarter turn clockwise to reveal a new wear point, effectively doubling the life of the tip.

The contact tip is sold in packs of 25 and each tip is conveniently marked with its part number and wire diameter for easy identification. It is recommended to use genuine Tweco® accessories, parts, and consumables to ensure optimal weld quality and prolong the life of your welding gun.
