The Tweco® 14 Series Standard Duty Tapered Contact Tip is designed to accommodate 0.023" wire and is a perfect match for the 200 - 400 A Tweco® No.2, No.3, No.4 MIG gun, as well as certain MIG gun series. This contact tip offers excellent electrical properties and is ideal for standard welding applications up to 400 A. With its part number and wire diameter clearly marked, it is easy to identify. The contact tip has a 1 1/2" length and 1/4"-28 UNF-2A thread size, featuring a 0.031" nominal inner diameter and 1/4" outer diameter. Constructed from extruded or gun-drilled 122 DHP copper alloy, the contact tip is machined from a copper alloy tubing for a consistent and smooth inside diameter surface, with a tolerance of +/-0.003".
Featuring a threaded style that ensures proper contact with a gas diffuser when attached to the MIG gun, the contact tip is available in slip-on or thread-on nozzle styles with a variety of bore sizes to choose from. When twisted, the contact tip locks in place, providing increased surface contact and better electrical conductivity. Its thick-walled design acts as a heat sink, effectively dissipating heat away from the arc source. When the tip wear point is reached, a simple quarter-turn clockwise twist reveals a new wear point, effectively doubling the life of the tip. Sold in packs of 25, each contact tip is marked with its part number and wire diameter for easy identification.
