The Tweco® 16 Series Standard Heavy Duty Contact Tip is designed to accommodate 1/16" wire and is compatible with 350 - 600 A Tweco® Spray Master® and Tweco® No.6 MIG guns for use with aluminum wire and specific MIG gun series. This contact tip is perfect for heavy duty welding applications up to 600 A. It is easy to identify with its part number and wire diameter. The contact tip has a 1 1/2" length and M8 X 1.25-6g thread size, with a nominal ID of 0.082" and OD of 0.375".
Made from durable extruded or gun-drilled 122 DHP copper alloy, the contact tip provides a consistent and smooth surface of inside diameter with a tolerance of +/-0.003". It features a threaded style that ensures proper contact with a gas diffuser when installed in the MIG gun. The contact tip comes in slip-on or thread-on nozzle styles with a choice of bore sizes.
When twisted, the contact tip locks in place and offers better electrical conductivity with increased surface contact. Its thick-walled design acts as a heat sink, effectively conducting heat away from the arc source. Additionally, the contact tip can be twisted quarter turn clockwise to reveal a new wear point, doubling the life of the tip. Each pack contains 25 contact tips.
For easy identification, each contact tip is marked with its part number and wire diameter. It has excellent electrical properties and its inside diameter tolerance is held to +/-.003 in. The threaded style ensures proper contact with a gas diffuser when installed in the MIG gun. Machined from a copper alloy tubing, it provides a consistent and smooth inside diameter surface. Twist it and it locks in place with no threads to worry about, increasing the surface contact between the contact tip and diffuser for better electrical conductivity. Twist it half turn counter-clockwise to expose a new wear point when the tip wear point is reached, effectively doubling the life of the tip. Its thick-walled diffuser design acts as a heat sink, conducting heat away from the arc source. This design increases the electrical conductive surface area, thereby improving electrical conductivity.
