OVERVIEW

The Tweco® Self Insulated Copper Nozzle is designed for standard gas diffusers and is compatible with up to 180 A Tweco® no.1 MIG guns. With a 3/8" size and a 2.224" nozzle length, it is perfect for light to medium duty welding applications. The part number is conveniently stamped on the outer surface for easy identification.

Made of 122 DHP copper alloy, this nozzle is ideal for higher heat applications that require longer electrical stick-out or situations where the nozzle may touch the work piece. Its 3-piece design eliminates the need for an additional insulator and consists of a copper alloy tubing nozzle housing, a solid brass nozzle insert, and a silicone nozzle insulator. The nozzle insert can be machined with internal threads to match the gas diffuser, which then threads onto the diffuser for easy installation.

The silicone nozzle insulator provides the necessary electrical insulation from the gas diffuser. Each pack contains 2 nozzles. The part number is rolled stamped on the outside surface for easy identification, and the 3-piece design eliminates the need for an additional insulator.

The recessed tips are ideal for higher heat applications and situations where longer electrical stick-out is necessary or when the nozzle may touch the work piece. On the other hand, the flush tips are suitable for shorter electrical stick-out, resulting in tighter arc lengths and bringing the tip closer to the work piece. Protruding tips are ideal for welders working on tight weld joints or open root pipes, although there is a risk of arcing the tip to the work piece. This could lead to damage and downtime for replacement. The nozzle uses a convenient thread-on design.
