This means as you push into the weld, the old grain breaks away to reveal sharp new edges, keeping your cut rate high from the first spark to the last.

The 60 grit rating is your workhorse for general fabrication. It’s aggressive enough to knock down a heavy bead or smooth out a torch cut, but fine enough to leave a decent finish that doesn't require hours of secondary sanding. The Type 27 shape is flat, which is perfect for blending on flat surfaces or getting into corners without gouging the base metal. It gives you the control you need to feather out a weld seamlessly.
