OVERVIEW

Steady Flame, Every Time

As a professional welder, you know that flame consistency is everything. The Victor VTS710A-510 Two-Stage Acetylene Regulator is built to solve the common headache of "flame drift." Unlike single-stage regulators that require you to constantly tweak the knob as your tank gets low, this two-stage beast keeps your pressure locked in from a full tank right down to the bottom. This means you can focus on your puddle and your cut, not on your equipment.

This isn't a throwaway regulator; it's a heavy-duty workhorse designed for the shop floor. The body is solid forged brass—it feels heavy in your hand because it's built to last. The gauges are large (2.5 inches) and polished, making them easy to read even through a scratched face shield or in low light. The adjustment knob is smooth, thanks to a Delrin bushing, allowing you to dial in that perfect 5 or 7 PSI with precision.

Safety is built-in with a self-reseating relief valve and a rugged housing that protects the internal mechanisms. The CGA 510 connection fits standard acetylene cylinders, and the outlet connects directly to your standard

FAQ

A two-stage regulator, like the VTS710A, reduces cylinder pressure in two steps. This maintains a constant delivery pressure even as the tank pressure drops, whereas a single-stage regulator requires manual adjustment as the tank empties.

The maximum delivery pressure is 15 PSIG. Acetylene becomes unstable above 15 PSIG, so this regulator is designed to prevent exceeding that safety limit.

It fits acetylene tanks with a CGA 510 valve. This is the standard connection for larger industrial acetylene cylinders (often called POL). It will not fit smaller MC or B tanks without an adapter.

The second stage diaphragm is made of stainless steel, which offers superior durability and sensitivity compared to rubber or neoprene diaphragms.

While CGA 510 is also used for propane, this regulator is specifically calibrated and labeled for Acetylene. It is recommended to use a regulator specified for LP gas for propane applications to ensuring proper internal material compatibility.

The inlet is CGA 510 (Male POL). The outlet is a standard 9/16"-18 Left Hand thread, compatible with standard fuel gas hoses.

Victor recommends having regulators inspected and tested by a qualified technician at least every 5 years or if any damage is suspected.
