The Lincoln Electric K2986-XL Shadow™ Welding Jacket is engineered to provide targeted protection for MIG and Stick welding applications. The garment integrates two distinct materials to optimize the welder's experience: durable split cowhide leather for the sleeves and 9 oz. flame-retardant cotton for the torso. The leather sleeves provide superior resistance to molten spatter and abrasion, essential for vertical and overhead positions where arms are heavily exposed. The cotton body meets ASTM D6413 standards for flame resistance, ensuring that the fabric will self-extinguish when the ignition source is removed.

Structural integrity and protective coverage are enhanced through thoughtful design elements. The jacket utilizes a snap button closure system backed by a multi-layer spatter guard. This barrier eliminates the direct path for UV radiation and sparks often found in standard button-up designs. The collar is adjustable and can be flipped up and secured with Velcro to provide complete neck coverage, preventing 'welder's sunburn' and slag burns. The jacket is sized X-Large, designed to fit comfortably over standard work clothes while allowing a full range of motion.
