The Weldas 38-4350XL is a premium hybrid welding jacket designed to bridge the gap between heavy full-leather coats and lightweight cotton jackets. By utilizing a strategic combination of materials, Weldas has created a garment that offers maximum protection where it is needed most, without the bulk and heat retention associated with traditional full leathers. This XL jacket is ideal for welders engaged in MIG, Stick, and general fabrication who require reliable protection from spatter but desire increased mobility and ventilation.
The front panel and sleeves are fabricated from high-quality side split cowhide. This grade of leather is selected for its uniform thickness and ability to repel molten slag and sparks, making it suitable for vertical and overhead welding applications where frontal exposure is high. The back panel utilizes Proban® treated flame-retardant cotton. Proban is a polymer that is embedded into the cotton fibers, ensuring the flame resistance withstands laundering and does not wash out easily, while maintaining the fabric's natural breathability.
