The Lincoln Electric W4017216 Feed Roll Set is designed with a V-Knurled (VK) groove that grabs the wire and pushes it through the gun liner without slipping, even when the cable is bent or long.

Standard smooth rolls just don't cut it for cored wires—if you tighten them enough to grip, you end up crushing the wire, which leads to feeding issues and contact tip jams. These knurled rolls solve that problem by using small teeth to grip the wire surface, meaning you can back off the tensioner and still get a steady, consistent feed. This keeps your wire round and your arc smooth.
