The ESAB 20Z28 is a replacement rotary vane pump head engineered for the CW-23 Coolant Circulator. In high-amperage TIG and MIG welding applications, consistent coolant flow is non-negotiable. The pump head generates the necessary pressure to push coolant through the narrow passages of the power cable and torch head, removing heat generated by the welding arc.
This assembly (often referred to as the fluid end) attaches to the electric motor of the cooler. It is designed to handle standard welding coolants and water mixtures. Symptoms of a failing pump head include a noticeable drop in coolant return flow, unusual noise from the cooler unit, or the torch handle becoming uncomfortably hot during use.
