The Tweco 1220-1312 is a premium replacement nozzle for Tweco-style MIG guns, identified by the industry-standard part number HD22-62-F. This package contains two (2) heavy-duty slip-on nozzles designed to deliver superior performance in industrial welding environments. The nozzle is engineered with a 5/8-inch (0.625") bore orifice, offering optimal gas coverage for medium to heavy plate welding.
Constructed from high-grade copper alloy, the HD22 series features a thicker wall than standard duty nozzles. This added mass acts as a heat sink, effectively dissipating thermal energy generated during prolonged welding arcs. This makes the HD22-62-F particularly suitable for higher amperage applications where standard nozzles might overheat or degrade quickly. The nozzle utilizes an adjustable slip-on connection, held securely in place by the gas diffuser's tension spring or O-ring, allowing the operator to fine-tune the nozzle position if necessary.
The "F" suffix denotes a Flush contact tip relationship. In this configuration, the end of the contact tip is flush with the end of the nozzle. This is a versatile setup preferred by many operators for its balance of gas coverage and visibility. It reduces the likelihood of the contact tip shorting against the workpiece while still allowing for a reasonably short stick-out. This nozzle is fully compatible with Tweco Spray Master 250, 350, and 450 guns, as well as the legacy Professional Series (No. 2, 3, 4) and many other MIG guns that utilize the 22 Series consumable platform.
