OVERVIEW

Reliable Reach for Your Oxy-Acetylene Setup

When you are working at the bench or handling precise brazing tasks, the last thing you want is a heavy, stiff hose fighting against your wrist. The Miller Smith RL121 Acetylene Hose is designed to give you the flexibility and control you need. At 12.5 feet long, it is the perfect "shorty" hose for dedicated welding stations, jewelry benches, or small fabrication shops where a standard 25-foot or 50-foot hose would just get in the way. This single-line red hose helps keep your workspace organized and safe, eliminating trip hazards caused by excess coils of tubing on the floor.

Safety and Compatibility
Safety is the number one priority in any welding environment. The RL121 is a Grade R hose, specifically formulated for acetylene gas. It features the industry-standard red color, making it instantly recognizable as a fuel line. The hose comes ready to work right out of the package, equipped with high-quality brass "B" size fittings. These 9/16"-18 Left-Hand thread nuts are compatible with the vast majority of standard regulators and torch handles found in North American shops, including popular models from Smith, Miller, and Victor. The factory crimps provide peace of mind, ensuring a tight seal that you can trust, unlike temporary hose clamp repairs.

Built for Performance
The 3/16-inch inner diameter is a favorite among welders who perform detailed work. It offers excellent gas flow for cutting, heating, and welding while remaining significantly lighter and more flexible than larger 1/4-inch hoses. This means less drag on your torch and more precision in your hand. Whether you are replacing an old, cracked hose or setting up a new cylinder cart, the Miller Smith RL121 delivers the durability and performance professional welders expect from the Smith name. Remember, this is a Grade R hose—stick to acetylene and keep it free from oil and grease to ensure a long service life.

FAQ

No. Grade R hose is designed specifically for Acetylene gas only. Using it with propane, propylene, or natural gas can cause the rubber lining to rot and fail, leading to dangerous leaks. For alternate fuels, you must use Grade T hose.

The hose comes with standard 'B' size fittings, which are 9/16"-18 threads. Since it is a fuel hose, the threads are Left-Handed (indicated by the notch on the nut).

The RL121 is a single line hose intended for the fuel gas (acetylene) only. It does not include the oxygen line.

The inner diameter (ID) is 3/16 inch. This size is lighter and more flexible than 1/4 inch hose, making it ideal for light-duty torches and precise work.

The total length of the hose is 12.5 feet.

It depends on your Little Torch setup. The Little Torch typically uses 'A' size fittings (3/8"-24). This hose has 'B' size fittings. You would need an adapter to connect this hose directly to a standard Little Torch handle.

While specific burst pressure varies by batch, standard acetylene hoses are typically rated for working pressures up to 200 PSI, although acetylene itself should never be used above 15 PSI.

Inspect your hose before every use. Look for cracks, cuts, burns, or worn spots. Bend the hose to check for dry rot. If any damage is found, replace the hose immediately.
