The core of the AccuLock MDX advantage lies in the tapered connection between the contact tip and the diffuser. Unlike traditional threaded tips that may sit loosely or rely solely on thread engagement for current transfer, the AccuLock tip locks firmly into the diffuser. This creates a substantial surface area for electrical contact, significantly reducing electrical resistance and heat generation at the threads. Furthermore, the contact tip features a "cooling tail" that extends into the diffuser, where it is actively cooled by the flow of shielding gas. 1. Simply remove your old M-series nozzle, contact tip, and diffuser.
2. Ensure your liner is in good condition (no trimming is usually needed).

4. Screw on the new AccuLock conversion diffuser.
5. Insert the AccuLock contact tip and tighten the nozzle.
