The Tweco 376246-002 Drive Roll Kit is the OEM replacement feed roll for the Thermal Arc / Tweco Fabricator multi-process welding machines, including the 181i, 211i, and 252i models. This component is critical for the proper operation of the wire feed mechanism, serving as the primary traction point for driving the electrode through the gun cable. The roll is manufactured with tight tolerances to ensure concentricity and balance, which minimizes vibration and ensures a steady wire feed speed (WFS).
This specific drive roll features a V-Groove profile, which is the industry standard for feeding solid wires. Unlike knurled rolls used for flux-cored wires (which bite into the soft tubular wire), the smooth V-groove provides friction-based traction that grips the solid wire firmly without marring its copper coating or altering its cross-sectional shape.
