Distinguished by the "H" in its part number, this Heavy Duty variant features thicker wall construction and superior insulation materials compared to standard duty nozzles. This thermal mass allows the nozzle to dissipate heat more effectively during high-duty-cycle welding at amperages up to 400A. The nozzle geometry provides a recessed tip relationship. This configuration places the contact tip approximately 1/8" to 1/4" inside the nozzle exit, depending on the specific diffuser and tip combination used. A recessed tip is critical for higher current applications to prevent the contact tip from overheating and to minimize the accumulation of spatter bridging the gap between the tip and the nozzle wall.
