The Lincoln Electric K610-1 MIG Conversion Kit is the specified OEM upgrade package for converting 115/120V Lincoln wire feeder welders from self-shielded flux-cored operation to gas-shielded MIG welding. This kit is engineered for specific compatibility with the Pro-100, Pro-Core 100, Weld-Pak 100, and Weld-Pak 100HD models. It addresses the hardware requirements necessary to introduce shielding gas into the welding process, providing the solenoid, regulation, and delivery systems required for GMAW applications.
The core component is the 115V gas solenoid valve, which installs directly into the machine chassis to synchronize gas delivery with the wire feed activation. The kit includes a gas regulator designed for Argon and Argon/CO2 blends, along with a CGA-320 adapter for 100% CO2 cylinders, offering flexibility in shielding gas selection based on penetration and bead profile requirements. The included gas hose and connectors ensure a leak-free pneumatic circuit from the cylinder to the machine.
To complete the conversion at the torch end, the kit supplies a replacement gun liner sized for .025-.030 inch (0.6-0.8mm) wire, ensuring smooth feeding of solid wire which lacks the stiffness of flux-cored wire. A gas nozzle is provided to replace the standard flux-cored nozzle, directing the shielding gas envelope effectively over the weld pool. Also included are two .025 inch contact tips and a 2 lb. spool of .025 inch SuperArc L-56 (ER70S-6) mild steel wire, allowing for immediate testing and calibration of the new setup. This kit is not compatible with 230V models.
