The Tweco 1260-1430, also known as the 26CT75, is a standard-duty MIG gun nozzle engineered for the Tweco Classic Number 5 and Number 6 series MIG guns. This product represents the industry standard for heavy-duty air-cooled MIG welding, offering a balance of thermal conductivity, electrical insulation (when paired with the correct insulator), and mechanical durability. This package contains two (2) nozzles.

The 26CT75 belongs to the Tweco 26 Series of consumables. It features a 0.750-inch (19.1 mm) bore orifice, which is classified as a large bore suitable for medium-to-heavy duty applications, typically involving wire diameters of 1/16" (1.6 mm) and larger, or high-amperage spray transfer modes where the arc cone is wide. The nozzle utilizes a Coarse Thread (CT) attachment style, designed to thread onto the Tweco 36CT nozzle insulator. This two-piece system (nozzle + insulator) is superior for high-heat applications as it allows for independent replacement of damaged components.

Material and Performance

Manufactured from a premium copper alloy, the 1260-1430 nozzle excels at thermal management. In high-amperage welding (up to 600 Amps), the front end of the MIG gun is subjected to extreme temperatures. The copper body efficiently conducts heat away from the tip and diffuser area, preventing overheating which can lead to premature contact tip failure or wire burn-back. The machined surface finish also helps reduce the adherence of weld spatter, making it easier to clean the nozzle with standard reamers or nozzle dip.
