This design features a tapered mating surface that locks the contact tip securely into the retaining head, and the retaining head onto the neck. This positive locking mechanism prevents the tip from loosening due to vibration and thermal expansion, ensuring a stable arc and consistent electrical conductivity throughout your shift.
