The Weldcraft 150TB is the standard replacement rigid torch body for the A-150 Modular Series (formerly known as the WP-150). This component is engineered to meet the demanding specifications of professional TIG welding, offering a rated output of 150 Amps DC and 115 Amps AC at a 60% duty cycle. The body is designed for air-cooled operation, utilizing the shielding gas flow to assist in thermal management, which simplifies setup by removing the requirement for liquid cooling lines. The 150TB features a modular threaded interface at the front, specifically designed to accept Weldcraft's range of screw-on heads, including rigid and flexible options in various angles.

Constructed with heavy-duty copper components, the 150TB ensures maximum electrical conductivity and efficient heat dissipation, preventing the handle from becoming uncomfortably hot during extended welding sessions within its duty cycle. The external insulation is molded from durable, high-dielectric silicone rubber that withstands high-frequency voltage and resists damage from abrasion or accidental contact with hot surfaces. The rear of the body connects to standard 1-piece power cables used in 150-amp air-cooled systems, ensuring compatibility with existing hose and cable setups found in most industrial environments.

For maintenance and repair operations (MRO), the 150TB offers a cost-effective solution to extend the life of a modular torch system. Over time, torch bodies can suffer from thread wear or internal arcing damage. Replacing the body while retaining the existing cable and heads restores the torch to factory performance levels. This unit is strictly the body component; it requires a compatible A-150 series head (sold separately) and a power cable to function as a complete torch. It is compatible with standard 10N series consumables when paired with the appropriate head, making it a seamless integration into existing inventory for shops standardized on Weldcraft equipment.
