Designed for use with DCEP (Direct Current Electrode Positive) polarity, they operate optimally within an amperage range of 450 to 600 Amps. The high-density composition ensures that the rod maintains its diameter at the point of the arc, creating uniform U-grooves that are essential for quality weld preparation and repair.

The defining feature of this consumable is its jointed (socketed) construction. Each 17-inch rod is machined with a male and female end, allowing you to mate a new rod to the existing one while the torch is still in operation.
