The Arcair K3000™ Gouging Torch is built with the operator in mind, addressing the physical challenges of air carbon-arc gouging. Gouging can be a physically demanding process, and the K3000™ mitigates fatigue through its ergonomic design. The torch features a natural 15-degree angle, which places the hand in a more comfortable position relative to the workpiece compared to straight torches. This angle allows for better leverage and control, essential for maintaining precise groove depth and width over long periods of operation.
Included with this model (Part # 61-065-006) is a 7-foot cable equipped with a 360-degree swivel. This critical feature prevents the heavy power cable from twisting and tangling, which is a common source of wrist strain for welders and fabricators. The swivel allows the torch to rotate freely, giving the operator the freedom to maneuver around complex workpieces without fighting the resistance of the cable.
