Superior Conductivity and Thermal Management

At the core of the A-1M-S is its 98% copper alloy body. This high-copper content ensures superior electrical conductivity compared to standard brass holders, resulting in reduced resistance and cooler operating temperatures. The upper and lower tongs are fitted with heavy-duty insulators that protect the operator from electrical shock and prevent accidental arcing when the holder is set down. The handle is constructed from a specialized fiberglass-reinforced compound designed to resist high radiant heat and impact, ensuring longevity in harsh shop environments.

Secure Mechanical Connection

The A-1M-S utilizes a proven mechanical cable connection system. A large, oval-point set screw secures the welding cable firmly against the copper body, providing a low-resistance joint that withstands the tugging and twisting common in welding operations.
