OVERVIEW

Reliable Connections for Serious Welders

When you are under the hood, the last thing you want to worry about is your cable connection heating up or popping loose. The Best Welds BWCCF LC-40 Female Connector is built to keep you welding without interruption. Whether you are extending your leads for a field job or replacing a worn-out plug on your shop machine, this connector gives you the solid snap-in feel that lets you know you are ready to burn rod. It is fully compatible with standard Lenco-style connectors, so it fits right in with the gear you likely already own.

Built Tough for the Shop

Welding cables take a beating—they get dragged across concrete, stepped on, and covered in grime. That is why this connector features a rugged rubber insulator that doesn't crack easily and stands up to hot sparks and grease. The black color usually marks your ground lead, helping you keep your setup organized. Inside, the heavy brass body handles the heat, rated for up to 500 amps, so you can push your machine to the limit without melting your plug.

Easy Installation

Setting up the BWCCF is quick and painless. You don't need special crimping tools or a soldering iron. Just strip your cable, slide it into the copper body, and tighten down the set screw with a hex key. The oval-point screw crushes the cable strands together for a rock-solid electrical path. It fits a wide range of cable sizes, from the lighter #1 gauge all the way up to heavy-duty 4/0, making it a great all-around connector to keep in your toolbox. Stop fighting with taped-up, loose connections and upgrade to a proper cam-lock quick connect.

FAQ

The BWCCF is designed to accept welding cables ranging from #1 AWG up to 4/0 AWG.

No, the BWCCF is an LC-40 style connector (Lenco compatible) which uses a cam-lock action. It is not directly compatible with Tweco MPC style connectors unless an adapter is used.

This connector is generally rated for up to 500 Amps, depending on the size of the cable used and the duty cycle.

Strip the cable insulation, insert the bare copper into the connector body, and tighten the provided oval-point set screw using an Allen wrench. Then slide the rubber cover over the assembly.

Functionally, the black and red connectors are identical. However, industry standard typically uses Black for the work/ground lead and Red for the electrode/stinger lead to identify polarity.

The BWCCF is the Female half of the connection. It accepts the male pin (BWCCM).

Most LC-40 style connectors include a copper shim to wrap around smaller gauge wires (like #1 or 1/0) before tightening the screw to ensure a tight fit.

While physically possible, special care must be taken with aluminum cable due to oxidation and cold flow. Using an antioxidant compound is highly recommended, though these connectors are primarily designed for copper cable.
