ArcOne BFFVX-1500: Vision Series with Big Flip Front Technology

The ArcOne BFFVX-1500 combines the robust architecture of the Vision helmet shell with the advanced utility of the Big Flip Front (BFF) system. This configuration is specifically engineered for industrial welding environments where operators frequently switch between welding and grinding operations. By integrating a clear grinding shield directly behind the flip-up welding lens, ArcOne eliminates the downtime associated with changing PPE, streamlining the fabrication process.

Optical Performance and Filter Specs

This model comes pre-installed with the VX-1500 Auto-Darkening Filter. The VX-1500 is a variable shade filter offering a range of 9-13, making it suitable for a wide variety of welding processes including MIG, Stick, and TIG (rated for >10 amps). The filter features two independent sensors to detect the arc reliably and a switching speed of 0.1 milliseconds. Sensitivity and delay adjustments allow the user to tailor the lens response to the specific lighting conditions and amperage of the arc. The filter is housed in a standard 5.25" x 4.5" (5x4) cartridge, providing a generous viewing area of approximately 6 square inches.

Construction and Durability

The Vision shell is constructed from high-impact, heat-resistant nylon, designed to withstand the rigors of daily shop use. The matte black finish deflects ambient light and resists scratching. The "Big Flip Front" mechanism is built with durability in mind, featuring a smooth hinge action that locks securely in both the up and down positions. The clear grinding visor underneath provides ANSI-rated impact protection and a wide field of view, ensuring precision during grinding and inspection tasks.
