The shell itself is constructed to be ultra-light, significantly reducing the torque and strain on the welder's neck during out-of-position welding or extended duration shifts.

Advanced Lens Technology

The integrated 1000F ADF is a variable shade filter offering a dark state range of 9 through 13, easily adjustable to suit different amperage levels and processes. In its light state, the lens rests at Shade 4, providing clear visibility for setup and inspection. The unit utilizes two independent arc sensors to detect the welding arc instantly, triggering the darkening phase. Sensitivity and delay controls are variable, allowing the operator to fine-tune the lens response based on ambient lighting conditions and the specific welding process being performed, such as low-amperage TIG where arc detection is critical.

Operational Efficiency

One of the standout features of this configuration is the 6 square inch viewing area. This large active viewing zone enhances the welder's ability to track the weld puddle and monitor joint alignment. The helmet also includes a Grind Mode, which locks the filter in the light state, permitting grinding and chipping operations without the lens flickering or darkening unnecessarily.
