OVERVIEW

Unmatched Simplicity and Control for the Professional Welder

The Lincoln Electric PIPEFAB™ Welding System changes the game for professional pipe welders by combining advanced capability with unmatched simplicity. We know that in a busy shop, time spent fiddling with settings or swapping cables is time lost. That is why the PIPEFAB™ interface is designed to be straightforward and intuitive. With one-button process changes, you can switch from laying a TIG root to a Flux-Cored fill pass instantly. The digital navigation is easy to understand, and the memory buttons allow you to save and recall your preferred settings for specific pipe schedules or materials, ensuring consistency across every weld.

Visual feedback is critical when fine-tuning your arc, and the PIPEFAB™ delivers with its ArcFX™ Technology. This feature provides a visual representation of your arc settings directly on the screen, helping you understand how adjustments to wire feed speed or voltage will affect the final bead profile. Whether you are welding stainless steel, carbon pipe, or exotic alloys, the machine's Smart Pulse™ and STT® modes do the heavy lifting, stabilizing the puddle and reducing spatter. This means less post-weld grinding and cleaning, allowing you to move on to the next joint faster. The improved STT® specifically makes open root welding easier, forgiving slight variations in fit-up and helping you achieve X-ray quality roots with less effort.

Comfort and convenience are also built into the hardware. The included Magnum® PRO Curve™ guns are lightweight and ergonomic, designed to reduce fatigue during long shifts. The system sits on a purpose-built cart with a dual bottle rack, keeping your shielding gases organized and your footprint compact. Perhaps the best feature for the daily user is the dedicated process outputs. You can keep your TIG torch, Stick electrode holder, and MIG gun connected simultaneously. The machine electrically isolates the outputs, so only the active tool is hot. This safety feature eliminates the hassle of unplugging and replugging cables, letting you focus entirely on your craftsmanship. From the first spark to the final cap, the PIPEFAB™ is built to make your job easier and your welds better.

FAQ

The PIPEFAB system supports Stick, DC TIG (HF & Touch Start), MIG, Pulsed MIG, Flux-Cored, and STT (Surface Tension Transfer) processes.

The Ready-Pak includes the Power Source, Feeder, Cart & Dual Bottle Rack, Magnum PRO Curve 200 & 300 guns, various contact tips and nozzles, drive roll kits, Harris Flowmeter & Hoses, and a Work Lead with Clamp.

No, it features PowerConnect® Technology which automatically adjusts to any input power from 200V to 600V, 3-phase, 50 or 60 Hz.

The machine has separate, electrically isolated outputs for different processes. This means you do not need to swap cables when switching between Stick, TIG, or Wire welding, saving time and reducing wear.

STT (Surface Tension Transfer) is a controlled short-circuit transfer process that provides excellent root pass penetration with low heat input and minimal spatter, making it easier to achieve high-quality open root welds.

Yes, the machine features memory buttons that allow you to easily save and recall your preferred settings for different applications.

ArcFX™ Technology provides immediate visual feedback on the display screen regarding how your settings affect the arc, helping you tune the machine more intuitively.

Yes, the PIPEFAB Feeder is included as part of the K3731-1 Ready-Pak system.
