The Millermatic 350P Aluminum / XR-Aluma-Pro™ Pistol Grip Package is engineered for the professional welder who demands control and consistency in aluminum GMAW and GMAW-P (Pulsed) applications. At the heart of this system is the Millermatic 350P, a 350-amp inverter-based power source that provides a rated output of 300 A at 60% duty cycle. It features Miller's proprietary Aluminum Pulse Hot Start™, which automatically provides more arc power at the start of the weld to eliminate the "cold start" defects common in aluminum welding.

The package distinguishes itself with the inclusion of the XR-Aluma-Pro™ Pistol Grip gun. Unlike standard spool guns which can be heavy and limited in wire capacity, or standard push guns that jam with 4000-series wire, this push-pull system utilizes a torque motor in the gun synchronized with the machine's drive motor. This ensures constant wire tension and speed, even with soft 4043 or 5356 wires. The pistol-grip configuration is particularly advantageous for pipe welding or accessing confined spaces inside complex assemblies.

Technical features include SharpArc® technology, which allows you to fine-tune the arc cone and bead width in pulsed mode, and Line Voltage Compensation (LVC™), which ensures your welding parameters remain constant even if input power fluctuates by +/- 10%. The machine also supports Gun-On-Demand™, allowing you to leave a standard steel MIG gun connected to the machine alongside the aluminum gun; the machine automatically detects which gun trigger is pulled and recalls the last used settings for that specific gun. This capability makes the 350P a versatile station for shops that occasionally switch between steel and aluminum without requiring a full changeover.
