This product is a strong and durable wire specifically designed for welding austenitic stainless alloys. It is composed of chromium, nickel, and manganese, with 18% Cr, 8% Ni, and 7% Mn. The wire provides excellent corrosion resistance, comparable to the parent metal it is used to weld. Additionally, it contains a higher silicon content which enhances its welding properties, particularly wetting. The modified version of ER307, it contains a higher Mn content, reducing the weld metal's susceptibility to hot cracking. Although its corrosion resistance is not the primary focus when joining different materials, the alloy is widely used in various industries. It is commonly used for joining austenitic, manganese, work hardenable steels, as well as armourplate and heat resistant steels.
