Hobart 335A: High-Performance E6011 Cellulosic Electrode

The Hobart 335A is a high-quality AWS E6011 stick electrode formulated to provide deep penetration and rapid solidification, essential for structural integrity in adverse welding conditions. This electrode features a cellulosic potassium coating that generates a forceful, digging arc capable of burning through rust, scale, paint, oil, and dirt. It is specifically optimized for AC welding stability but retains excellent performance characteristics on DCEP, providing flexibility for various power source configurations.

Technical Characteristics

With a diameter of 5/32" (approx. 4.0mm), this electrode is designed for welding medium-to-heavy thickness plates. The recommended amperage range is 110-170 amps. The 335A exhibits a spray-type arc transfer which aids in deep fusion, making it particularly effective for single-pass welds on galvanized steel where zinc outgassing can cause porosity with other rod types. The fast-freeze slag system supports out-of-position welding, allowing operators to bridge gaps and manage fit-up issues effectively.

Applications and Performance
