This ER70S-6 wire is a general-purpose, copper-coated solid wire designed for welding mild and low-alloy steels. It is the industry standard for a reason: it offers a perfect balance of weldability and mechanical properties. The high silicon and manganese content provides excellent deoxidizing properties, which helps to float out impurities and porosity when welding on steel that isn't perfectly clean.
